Italy or the Republic of Italy is a gorgeous country consisting of a peninsula and bordered by Alpes. It is situated in the Mediterranean Sea of Southern Europe, but the country is also considered to be belonged to Western Europe. Having situated around a central geographic location in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, Italy has been rendering a habitat to plethora of people and cultures, from historical times. Following the tradition, it still is the third country in the European Union with the highest population and is visited by millions of tourists each year.

Having been a hub during the renaissance period, Italy upholds a vast history of renaissance art, architecture, literature and culture. Rome, the capital of Italy, is the home to most sacred Vatican and thus considered blessed. Apart from Rome, there is Milan which is the fashion capital of Italy. Florence is another sublime city where most of the renaissance art masterpieces including Michelangelo’s “David”, can be seen. Then there is Venice, the picturesque city of canals which has been the setting to famous play ‘Merchant of Venice’.
